I failed to appear as scheduled (Septmember 14)to have my biometrics (code 1) taken, due to my trip outside the States. I wonder if I could just walk in the local USCIS application support center to request it to be done without appointment. I was told by calling USCIS (1-800-375-5283) that I could walk in on any Wednesday, but ASAP. Is there anybody who would like to share your similar experience? My I-485 application was approved in June, and the production of my green card hasn't been ordered yet.
