Xiaobaitu, Pjiang, and all other experts,

I need to landing canada early next month. I'm currently in H-1B status, I-94 card expired October 2008. My status is F-1 to H-1B and only F-1 visa on passport and no H-1B visa on passport.Can I come back to US within 30 days using the 30-day policy and DO NOT need to come to get a H-1B visa in Canada?
Can I drive my own car and put it on goods to follow list? Will the canadian custom force me to import it at the border.

I know these two questions have been discussed several times before. But when I did the search, it comes out the different answers which really confused me. Please help.
