Our applications for the I-485 (and also the I-131 forms I believe) were officially received by the related immigration office on August 30th (I believe). I have already gotten my work permit, but it's already been 2 months and our request for the I-131, Advanced Parole, is still pending. I'd really like to travel to my homecountry in mid-December and stay for about 2 and half weeks, but I don't know if I'll have the Advanced Parole by then. My family submitted our applications when there was this opening in July when a LOT more people than usual submitted their requests for I-485. I'm wondering if that's going to affect the time it'll take for my family to receive our Advanced Parole.
Does anyone know how long I'll still have to wait till I get my Advanced Parole?
If it's approved online, will I still need to have a copy in hand before I can come back to the United States?
(By the way, I don't really know what it means but my family did EB-3)
