My friend came to a State University with J1 visa. After getting J1 waiver,
his current status is H1B. The transition of visa status of His wife is
relatively complex, J1 visa at the beginning, then J2, H4. In order to get
multiple entry in one year, she currently hold B visa. We are going to apply
green cards and wonder how green cards application will influent on the B
visa status and vice-versa. Will it be better for her to change B visa to H
visa before green card application? Any comments will be greatly appreciated.
