My I-485 was approved in July 2007 and I got the receipt in 2 weeks. I waited for 90 days no welcome notice no green card arrived. I called 1800 number and a guy said I should get a biometrics in a local office by myself. I had my lawyer contact USCIS and they scheduled a biometrics for me in November 2007. I did the fingerprint but until today I have not got my green card yet.
My wife has the same problem: her I-485 was approved in Septembr 2007 but she even did not have a receipt until today. She applied EAD but was refused. The letter from USCIS said her I-485 was approved so she will not need an EAD. She called USCIS and learned that her I-485 was approved in Septmeber 2007.
My lawyer contacted USCIS recently to ask for a service inquiry for our cases and I do not know what I should do if nothing from USCIS this time.
Any ideas what we shall do, XIAOBAITU and other experts?
