My situation:
EB2, PD Oct 2005, I-140 approved, I-485 pending RD Aug 2007, changed job beginning of Jan 2008(the new company could not wait longer) by transferring H1B - I noticed that the A# appeared in the H1B approval notice, this is exactly the same A# as in my I-485 receipt notice. Transferred H1B a couple of times before, never seen a A# in the H1B approval notice before.

Questions:
1. If USCIS sends RFE for my I-485, will it be sent to my previous employer/attorney, to myself, or to my current employer?

2. The immigration team at my current employer(a big company) told me that they would not file to transfer my case to my current employer as it would then highlight the fact that I left my previous employment before the required 180 days. I did read pjiang's blog regarding the 180 days of I-485, http://blog.wenxuecity.com/blogview.php?date=200711&postID=37365#180day I quoted the Question 10 of that memo to try to convince them, but was told that "the information you have taken is out of context and does not apply to your case." Why? Anything else I could use to convice them? If my case don't get transferred to the new employer, any negative effect to my application?

3. Is it necessary to ask the new employer to start a new green card application for me? Or just wait to see what happens to my pending I-485.

4. H1B's 6 year is running out soon, can my H1B be extended for another 3 years since my I-140(with the previous employer) has been approved? Or I have to start new green card application and get the new I-140 approved to extend the H1B?

Really confused now. Guys, your help is really appreciated. Thank you very much!
