Got call from immigration officer restart22008-02-29 16:22:32

I got a call from immigration officer yesterday. She mentioned that my finger print was expired and she will send me a finger print notice shortly. As my case has been pending on name check for about three years, she told me that my case is qualify for the recently name check memo. But she has to wait for my new finger print to be cleared before my green card approval.

Can anybody here tell me how long it normally takes to have my finger print cleared in FBI? I did once back in Oct, 2005 but never receive any notice since then. It seem that they finally remember my case but simply find my finger print was expired. What a ironic thing! I do notice that some people got their GC aproved even after their finger print was expried for 15 months. Is there any clear criteria?
