Thanks taotaomao for care this case and giving a lot of useful information. When I got in I was given new H1 I-94 card and my wife and my daughter were given H4 card, without new H1 visa. The border officer told me that my I-485 will be not affected and international office of my university confirmed this for me, but I still worry it a little bit. Our I-485 have been pendding from 2005, I applied EAD, never use it, my wife and my daughter used EAD more than 2 years just last week before we went to Canada, I mailed out their EAD renew application and the check were cashed today. taotaomao, what do you think of our I-485 would not be affected? Which status of my wife and my daughter should be?
