For those longtime pending 485 applications, you may contact US Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Office.

It works for my case. recently my 485 got approved after 23 months pending.
Before contacting US Civil Rights and Civil Liberties office, I contacted all possible high profile persons, such as First Lady,President, Senators, Congressman, USCIS, just name a few, but no positive responsible at all.

I wrote to this office at the end of December 2007 stating my personnal but very common story like any other waiters. Then this office not only contacted USCIS, but also helped setup a special case(with special case#) dated on Feb 28 2008. To my surprise, USCIS then looked at my case on the same day and sent out a stupid RFE letter(employment letter, updated G325a blahblah, possibly some kinda retaliation..), I can NOT believe USCIS action is soooooo prompt on getting kicked!

My case finally got approved 2 days after I sent out my response to that stupid RFE.

Below is my application timeline:

EB2 RIR NSC
PD: 05/30/2002
140/485 RD: 04/21/2006
485 approval date: 04/02/2008
Finger Printing date: 06/20/2006 (I am still very surprised how come my case got approved with expired finger printing???)

Good luck my fellows.
