I asked this question for sometime, but I never got a clear answer before. Nobody told me what is exactly the "Approval Notice". Some people messed up with the "Welcome Notice".

It seems to me that "The Green Card Holder (I-797D) is the "Approval Notice"“。Is that rigth?

I have only I-797, no I-797C. (I did not hire lawyer)

In general I agree with 美西游子. GC card is the king.

I confirmed with my attorney - I am right!

I-797 is Queen while GC is King.
