You said I should NOT fill out my laid off date on expiration date on the I-539, just write my current H-1B expiration date. But Lawyer Yao said I must write my laid off date (06/03/08) on I-539. I am going to mail out I-539 tomorrow to change my status from H-1 to F-2. So I have a 12 days gap till tomorrow. I worry whether or not the USCIS will approve my F2.
I have another option. I have an job interview next Tuesday. Much possibilities they will offer me a new job. Could I hold my I-539 for F-2 change status until next week? But it is too risk that my gap will become longer in case I don't get an offer.
Could you give me some suggestion?
