I went to infopass and just got emergency AP today, The documents I showed them are my I-131 receipt and invitation letter for a conference held in China. First they insisted that AP needs at least 90 days to be processed and that only medical or financial issues can be regarded as emergency. I explained to them the importance of the conference and showed them my flight ticket as well. Finally the officer said she would try to ask her supervisor for the approval. Eventually I got the emergency AP in about one hour.
The documents I brought with me:
1: I-131 receipt;
2: invitation letter to attend the conference
(download the conference information from the website);
3: flight ticket;
4: 2 photos;
They also asked me to fill out the new I-131 form. I got a lot of help from this forum and many special thanks to Pjiang, XBT, and many other experts! Wish all of you good luck!
