My employer filed 140/485 (EB1b, pending) sometime last year. This year, due to company re-organization, they filed an amended 140 (EB1b) and got another 140 receipt. The second 140 receipt has a different A# from prvious 140/485. It looks like just a new petition, as I don't see any link between these two filing on the receipt. But I did have a chance to read the cover letter of the amended 140, which stated company situation and my previous 140 receipt number. I was also told that the previous 485 is still good.
My concern is when my 140 will be processed (based on previous receipt date or the amended one)? What is now my priority date? And why did I get a different A# on the amended 140?
Anybody can help me to answer these questions?
