My situation sounds strange: my previous company keep paying me even after I did H1B transfer; so I will receive paychecks from 2 companies for about 6 weeks. The cause for this scenario is my previous company wants to force a 3 month notice period on me (I will stay at home, but cant work for other company), but my contract states only 1 month. My current company evaluated my case and determined I should only subject to 1 month notice period. So I did H1B transfer and started to work.
Now I realize there is also an immigration issue in this case. My I485 will be current on August. Will this overlap payment cause any problem for my GC application? The overlap is from 07/07 to 08/15. I also have an EAD, but it will expire on 08/10, and I did not send renewal application. could you please advise on my situation?
