I'm currently on H1B with 140 and 485 pending. I need to go to Canada for a meeting. According to my research, H1B can return to US without applying for visa in Canada. Does anyone have experience actually using this "Visa Auto Revalidation"? What kind of proof do you get at the border to show your legal entry to the US?
I have AP but don't want to use it since my 140 is not approved yet. My immigration lawyer recommended me to use AP - he believes that I can get perfect proof for my legal entry. Using the "Visa Auto Revalidation", to him, doesn't provide a good evidence for the legal entry from Canada to US.
Anyone has experience in this? Thanks!
