Hi,
I filed N400 in Apr 2007 to San Jose office, interviewed in Jun 2008, and have got no news since then. I submitted a case query to USCIS early Nov, and here is the letter from San Jose office:
"Based on your request we researched the status of this case. We are actively processing this case. However, we have to preform additional review on this case and this has caused a longer processing time. If you do not receive a decision or other notice of action from us within 6 months of this letter, please call customer service ...".
FYI I visited San Jose office Jan 2008 and the officer told me that they were collecting my files while "actively working on my case". During the June interview the officer also told me the same thing.
I am looking for suggestions on how to handle my case. And also wondering if a lawyer would help.
