Back from Infopass Los Angeles Downtown I-485

I went to Infopass in the LA Downtown today for my I-485 status check. 4 Questions were asked:
1. Q: Is my name check (background check) cleared?
A: We are not allowed to release the information
It seems very odd for me, my friends in Utah got the answer that it was cleared when she had her inforpass info in Utah. My hu*****and did not get the answer either. So maybe it might be LA confidential.
2. Q:When does my finger print expire?
A: It is input on Feb xx, 2009
Actually I have my finger print around 1.5 yr ago. It is quite wired. But my hu*****and’s I-140 was approved in Feb. So that might be the day they review the case.
3. Q: Is interview needed for my case?
A: If Nebraska center assigns your case to us, interview is needed. Otherwise, no
4. Q: Is my case assigned and reviewed?
A: No idea. Your case status is pending.

Overall, not much information obtains here in L.A, unlike other places.

Tips for LA infopass
1. If you have made the appointment, say 7:15 am, you definitely can be there earlier than that. It is highly recommended to get there as early as possible to save waiting time.
2. Get there at least 15 min earlier. I was not familiar with the downtown. Although there were meter parkings in the temple st, tow away from 7 to 9 am. I did not dare to risk. One public parking across the Los Angeles st. I parked in a Japanese plaza, $6 per day, around the cross of almeda st and 1st St. walking 10 mins.
3. The security at the gate asked me whether I had appointment, I answered yes. Not sure drop-by service is available.
4. Maybe one appointment, you can ask your co-applicant case status as well, as long as he/she is there with you. I saw a group of people flood to one window.
