I was just admitted by MBA program and the university is requiring my passport information for arranging my I-20.
My immigrant status is :
As the dependent of my hu*****and, I submitted "application to adjust to permanent resident status" (I485) that was received by USCIS in Aug 2008 and is pending for decision by USCIS. I am currently holding the "Employment Authorization Card" (EAD). I also hold "I-512L, Authorization for Parole of an Alien Into the United States" so that I can leave and re-enter the U.S. without any problem.
Do I need I-20? As I-20 is "Certificate of Eligibility for NON-IMMIGRANT (F-1) Student Status" and I was told by friends that applying F-1 will Invalidate my current application for permanent residence.
