SSN application for minors under AOS xixizh2009-06-24 22:00:58

My 12-year-old son has a AP and a valid I-94 based on AP. Today I went to SSN office to apply for SSN for him and was told that for AOS status, a person has to have a work autorization in order to apply for SSN. How can a 12-year-old have EAD? This is so rediculous!

BTW: The local office is in CA.

They are right. 2 years old baby still need EAD to apply SSN
