我的H4 visa stam到2005年5月到期，这也是i797的到期时间。问了老公公司的律师，我们11月份就要开始file extention. 我想明年1月底回去，3月底回来。律师说，只要我拿到extention的receipt,我就可以走了，但无论什么时候回来，我都要在中国重新申请签证。老公和我都不理解，为什么呢？我明明有valid visa stamp until next May. 我们理解只要我在失效之前进美国，就应该没事，对吗？
