I guess my background is not strong: a postdoc in Harvard system,working in a big lab with quite famous boss;
6 papers, 4 1st author (including one has not published yet).
7 recommendation letters-4 independent, 4 from USA, 1 from Canada, 1 from Europe, 1 from China, including 3 big guys.

2 review of journal papers and 1 review of grant for me boss. (My boss wrote a letter indicating that we are in a panel as reviewers.
The RFE letter from officer #XM1014 ask the following:
(1). Further evidence to show that you (the petitioner) are of national renown in my field. Please submit at least three of the following. (I just list the ones I claimed)
(b) How is membership in the American Association for Cancer Research and the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology evidence of extraordinary ability? What criteria are used to become a member of these associations? What are the credentials of the persons granting membership to these associations.
(c) Include clear evidence of the content and circulation of the media. If the media have carried articles about nationally or internationally renowned individuals, submit evidence of this. How do the submitted articles explain the extraordinary ability of the beneficiary?
(d) How is reviewing XXX and XXX exhibit extraordinary ability?
(e) Have others emulated your style and technique? Have others gained national or international renown in this field based on skills you thought them? Have you made contributions to this field in any other ways? Please explain and provide clear documentary proof in support of your response. Please provide more detail regarding this criterion.
(f) The beneficiary claim 61 citations to the beneficiary’s publication works. How is 61 citations evidence of extraordinary ability? How many of these citations are self-citations?
(g) How is invitation of beneficiary’s work at the prominent international professional forum such as XXX and XXX evidence of extraordinary ability?
(3) Please describe in detail how you stand apart from other individuals in your field to the extent that you are within that small percentage who have risen to the very top of your field? Please respond in detail.
Anyone wants to give some ideas and suggestions? It seems the officer didn’t buy any the points I claimed. It’s like he/she is asking a new petition. Should I hire a lawyer for that? Any input will be very much appreciated!
