I visited Canada in May. When I came back to US the officer forced me to switch my original I94 (F-1) to the new I94 (H-1) because I've changed status before. When they processed my old I94 they theated me as I had left US again (although I'm always in US). Now they approved my H-1 extension for the next 2 years but I must get my new visa abroad. I must go abroad before Sept. 30. Our lab has appealed to correct this for months but did not succeed. How can I do now? Thanks a lot!
