Just want to share some information with everybody here who is still waiting for their GC.
My priority date from NIW is 5/27/2005.
I-140 filed 5/27/2005
I-140 approved 6/29/2005
I-485 filed 8/5/2005 for both me (primary) and my hu*****and
My I-485 approved on 11/15/2007
However, my hu*****and's I-485 due to the unclear FBI name check was delayed, then when his name check cleared, the visa regressed and he has to wait for the visa.
Finally this month, the visa is current and we received the email on 4/2/2010 that his card was produced.
During this additional two year waiting, he did two more finger prints, used two more EAD cards and one AP last summer back to China.
If I can say one thing, I think as long as your priority date is current, do something. Such as calling to the immigration office, or contact your state senator. Last month when I found the visa is avaialbe, I immidately contact our state senator. Which in fact triggered his finger print in the middle of March. Then after his finger print done, I contact the senator again and received info from his office that my hu*****and's name and finger print both cleared and the visa is available for him.
