From the information you provided earlier and from other sources, to adopt a child in china and bring it to the US through GC procedure will be very lengthy and difficult with my current status of being a GC holder. I am thinking if I can bring the child to the US through a tourist Visa (Is it B-2?) I am not sure if the child can attend middle or high school here with a tourist visa. Also please advise can the tourist visa be changed to F-1 visa inside the US later?
Could you please advise on other possible ways to bring the child (after adoption) to the US for education purpose (and forget the GC issue for the time being)? The new school year is going to begin.
