我的F1在2009年过期了。我太太2007年交了485，在我F1过期前，就申请了EAD。一直到现在我都在用EAD在工作。我的公司最近帮我办了H1B但是我需要出境激活H1B。我是加拿大的PR但不是公民。我想去加拿大签签证。可是加拿大的美国使馆网页上说
Individuals who have been out of status in the United States because they violated the terms of their visa or overstayed the validity indicated on their I-94 should not seek to apply in Canada or Mexico and should return to their home country to apply.
我的问题是，我的I-94的确是过期了，但是我有有效的EAD。我这样的情况可以去加拿大签H1签证吗？还是我一定要回中国？
如果可以去加拿大签,大概需要几天能拿到签证呢？
