I applied I140(perm) and got approved in Aug. 2006 but did not file 485 because I changed my job. I applied another I antother I140(perm) and got approved in Dec. 2007. Our understanding is that we can use the first priority date to file 485. Is this right? We just received 485 receipt with a priority date of Dec. 2007. I am so worried that there is something wrong with our file.

if we applied 485 before our priority date became current, will USCIS issue us the receipt? Can we do someting do something to correct the error or is that priority date an error?  Please help!
