I am currently working using H1B but I will reach the 6-year limit by September 2012. I just noticed that on my old passport I still have a B2 visa which will expire in 2014. My questions are:

1. Will it still be valid for me to use this B2 visa to go back and forth China after September 2012?

2. May I request my current employer (if they agree) to submit a new H1B petition for me after I come back from China using this B2 visa and then I can transfer from B2 to H1B? Before I started the new H1B, is it possible to be the status such as "停薪留职"? How long will it take to get a new H1B (no quota limit) and how do you think the successful chance from the point of USCIS?

3. Or is there any better solution in your mind than what I thought above?

Thank you!
