only concern is there will be no trouble for I-485?

My company send me to a client company located in another state, for tax saving purpose, HR said they want to pay me like BASE SALARY+ Per diem rate, which make base salary is much lower than popular saraly level 4 (according Labor department website), while the total salary will be fine. (which is greater than level 4).
I don't want to have trouble with future I-485, can I accept this kind of salarly offer?
-Fine if it is just for a short of period of time (your working there is temporary).
