I am in Austrialian now.
I just got an offer for a postdoctoral position from Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) with an annual salary of around 70K. My future boss in LANL told me LANL will apply for H1 for me, and the processing time is around 3 months. I don't know if I can ask LANL to support me to directly apply for PR (green card). I know one true case that one guy from Chinese Academy of Science got his PR within 15 days after NASA gave him a position and support him for PR application.
I have no idea of J1, H1, PR application. Can somebody give me a website so that I can find detailed systematical information about J1, H1 and Green card application ?
Another thing is that how much do i need to pay the tax in CA according to my salary ?
