一直听说renew AP时不可离美。但根据这个 USCIS网站上的文件 http://www.uscis.gov/files/nativedocuments/AILA_2Apr08.pdf

(16页Addendum V), 是不是有例外呢？

My AP/EAD (combo card) is based on pending I-485. Let's call my current AP AP1 and the renewal one AP2. 想请教老师3个问题。

(1)   Is it true that I could leave US after I file for AP2 and before AP1 expires? Sounds like I also need to return to US before AP1 expires.

(2)   根据这个文件，是不是还可以在美境外file for AP2 based on pending I-485呢？只要在AP1过期前回美就可以了。

(3)   EAD的申请有没有在美的要求？以上两种情况，可以同时file for EAD renewal吗？
