I am 23 year male and had my permante resident status for 4 and half year now.  I am preparing for the N400 application and realized you have to be registered with selective service system(SSS) to qualify.  I remeber getting a letter from SSS when I turned 18, but I don't remember it asked me to take any action.  I assumed I am automatically enrolled since I had a immigration status visa.  So I am wondering if it is too late to register with the SSS right now for my naturalization process?  I am qualified to apply to be naturalized next Spring.  This was a honest mistake and I am wondering if I explain myself to the immigration officer, will be deny my case?

Thank you for the help!
