Hello Everybody,
I have read many topics on this forum about landing to Canada and come back to US without a new visa. I came to US as F-1 student and now I am In H-1 status with I-94 only.
Sombody said, in this case, I need to get a H-1 visa first to come back, others said I don't need to if I have a valid I-94. Does anyone have recent experience? I think many people have similar situation.
My co-worker said two of his friends were stopped at US custon and were asked to get a new visa to come back. This happened 2-3 months ago. So they stuck in Canada for 8 weeks to get a visa and just came back recently. His friends landed at Windorport and also changed staus to H-1 from F-1 in US, just like me.
This story really scars me, I almost want to give up.
