3 years ago, a friend of mine who lived in another state of US had been diagnosed having cancer, he was shocked,panicked
and depressed . He called me and said he would rather die at once than suffer a lot. I was worried about him and called 911 at once. Then he was sent to a mental institution for few days.
Later, it turned out his cancer was misdiagnosed. he became OK again.
Recently, he is applying for US citizenship, there is one question:" in the past 5 years, have you been in mental institution? yes or no? if yes, explain the reason". He ask me how to answer this, A: if his answer is yes, is there any impact on his application.? B: if his answer is no, is there any other problem? I really don't know , and feel guilty for all these trouble I brought to him even if at that time calling 911 was good for him.
