Asking for Mr. 8's advice- Tax question regarding application fo shny12292014-06-09 02:00:14

I got my green card on Jun 27th 2011 though H1B, and I also married to American citizen on Jun 11, 2011.

I plan to apply citizenship on Jun 27, 2014, and based on my reseach, I need to *****umit 3 year tax return of me and my spouse. However, I filed tax as single status for 2011, (2012, and 2013 are both filed as married status).

Questions:
1. Do I have to submit past 3 years tax return for my Green card application.
2. would the single filing status for 2011 return cause issue
3. should I amend my tax return for 2011 before citizenship application
4. Can I wait till early 2014 when I files my 2014 tax return, so I only need to provide 2012, 2013, 2014 return and no need to provide 2011 return.
