I submitted J1 waiver materials to Chinese Consulate of NY in August, but my case is still in process. Should I contact the Chinese Consulate now? Because I am a permanent resident of Canada but not a citizen before I came to US, will this affect my waiver application? Could you please give me a hint? Thank you very much.
