For background check, can you tell me whether the embassy hold the passport or give back to visa applicant? You know I have AP, but don't have visa stamped on my passport. And I plan to go back to China for visa. The worst case is that visa is rejected and I can use AP to come back.But I don't want that they check my background and hold my passport for several weeks.
