I am not sure if I understand the fee requirements very well: it seems that the official website says you have two fee payments—one is so called processing fee, which is $465 right now; the other is called Right of Permanent Residence Fee, if about $820. It says that you don’t have to enclose the payment for the latter with your application materials. Does this mean that I can wait till I was approved for immigration? Is the second payment the same thing as the “landing” fee that is frequently mentioned by people on this board?
Moreover, the main page of the immigration service says one could pay the immigration service by credit card. But then it referred to the Buffalo office, which then says it does not accept credit card. If is this because the local branch has its own rule and we have no way to avoid it?
