I have a few questions about my current status:
1. My F1-based OPT will be expired on 08/04/05. My I485 has been submitted (I140 approved last yeay). AP
and I485-based EAD received (valid from 12/18/04 - 12/17/05). I want to know
what is my current status? F1 student or AOS? When will my stay in the US
expire? These info are needed for my AR-11 address change form.
2. My driver's licence will be expired on 08/04/05 because I only have one-year
OPT available when I applied the licence. If in June or July this year I want
to renew the driver's licence, the only thing I can show the officer is my I-
485 receipt and EAD approval notice. Since the EAD will only valid until 12/17/
05, will they just give me a new licence which only valid for 4 months? And I
need to renew my licence again after I got my second I485-based EAD?
3. Since my wife need to use the I485-based EAD to work, we may also go back
China using the AP, does that mean it is meaningless for me to apply a H1 visa now?
