I have some questions about I-485 interview. I applied I-130 and I485 for my parents, and now received a letter for their interview. My parents don’t understand English. The INS letter said “the interpreter can be NEITHER a relative NOR an interested party in your application”. This means that I cannot be an interpreter because I am the sponsor and the daughter. My questions are: (1) I am wondering whether my hu*****and can be an interpreter? Since he has no blood relationship with my parents. (2) What about my friends or my colleagues, can they be interpreters? (3) Does anyone have any experience in I-485 interview? Normally what kind of questions does the INS officer ask?
