I am teaching Computer Science in a small public university. My university used the Career Network of the Chronicle of Higher Education to advertise my position (Internet Advertisement). I did go through a competitive selection process. Now I am planning to apply for labor certification using the PERM in July or August this year.

I have consulted three lawyers on whether I can use the special handling or not. One lawyer said that I have to redo the advertisement in print and go through the recruitment again. Another said that I can apply based on previous selection and there is a 90% chance that the Department of Labor will accpet it. A third lawyer said that since it is the normal recruiting method used by my University, there will be no problem to use special handling.

My question is that which lawyer should I believe (or maybe hire). If you have similar experience, could you please share with me. Thanks a lot.
