Hi all the experts here,
I have a friend, whose H1 status expired and is thus "illegal". Now his passport is also going to expire soon. But here at the Chinese consulate in LA, to renew passport, they ask you to provide documents for "legal" status. He really like to at least get his passport renewed, and not be totally "black". Is there any way to get around this, so he can get a new passport? I know there are many "illegal" Chinese here, so there must be a way.
