I just received my new version of Chinese passport (replacement, P type). It's odd to see there is no pages for renewal in it. Does this mean the passport can not be renewed after 5 years?
By the way, I have US GC for 3 years now. Is this the reason?

全部新版中国因私护照都不能延期，只能换新的

新版可以延二次，旧版到期不能延只能换。
