Currently I am working as a full-time employee in a university under H1b. My
boss is willing to let me start my PHD this Fall, using part time H1b, i.e.
50%, because my GC is on the way(or, I should say just started, as I am in
NSC). I was wondering is it OK for me to use this 50% H1b for my GC petition?
I asked my lawyer, he didn't give me clear answers, just saying part-time H1b
can take class etc, but didn't state clearly that whether part-time H1b could
apply for GC or not.(He is appointed by our school, no choice...)
