I prepared the petition by myself but had it signed by a human resource coordinator at my institute.


Basic information

Ph. D. in EE in 1997, followed by 2-year post-doc experience in China and 3-year post-doc in USA. Currently a Research Scientist focusing on Medical Imaging. Two first-authored papers (including one in press) and several co-authored ones published in USA, in addition to several Chinese papers that may not count. Several posters exhibited at the international conferences. A few citations from the co-authored papers. Won 3 little awards such as “best conference paper” and xxx scholarship. Full (voting) member of the International Society of xxx. Reviewed other’s work 3 times, including 1 for a Chinese journal, 2 for the international conferences held in China and Japan, respectively. Involved in one 1-million NIH grant (completed) and one 3-million NIH grant (ongoing project; my name appeared in the proposal) and an 8-million proposal as a co-investigator (it was turned down later). Eight strong recommendation letters from China (2), Japan (1), UK (1) and USA (4), among them 7 were drafted by me.
