老公现在是H1（不到一年），准备转另一家公司。新公司找的律师发来封信，令我有些困惑，特请这里的热心朋友帮忙回答，万分感谢。
1）
其中律师说： Also, any further application process for Mr. XXX's spouse and son is not necessary at this time and will be done after the approval of his H1B as an employee of (company name).

如果H4不同H1一起提出申请，等H1批下来后再申请H4（人在美国）,H4岂不是失去身份？？？我们上次是H1 和H4同时申请的，这个律师让我搞不懂。

2）
律师称这是 H1 Update, 请问H1 transfer 和 H1 update 一样吗？费用也一样吗？
