I just had the immigration medical exam done this week. The TB-PPD test is positive (My skin test bump is swelling at 15 mm after 48 hours). The doctor did a chest X-ray and it is negative. The doctor gave me a copy of X-ray and told me to take the copy to a local health department for further evaluation.
Could someone help me evaluate the result? The doctor says I have 10% chance of developing active TB per year. I had a very bad cough in March this year. I kept coughing for 2-3 weeks. I thought it was a cold and took some Tylenol only. Does this mean I have Tuberculosis? Will this affect my green card application? Thanks!
