I've got a lot of help from this board, especially from Yumeng and NYC Marriage-based Green Card. Here I thank all the friends here.

Below is my time line. We did our application by ourselves.

R/D: Jan 27, 2005
AP/EAD: April 15, 2005
Interview: June 9, 2005

Our case is kinda special, coz we don't live together. I am still trying to finish my Ph.D in Texas, while my hu*****and is working in San Francisco. We were so worried that would be a problem, but it actually turned out fine. So it should be a good news for those who have to be temporarily apart. As I notice, as long as you have enough documents to prove your marriage, things should be ok.

Here are a list of the documents we brought:

Joint House Title
Joint Car Titles
Joint Income tax for 2004
Joint Bank Accounts(saving and checking)
Cell Phone Family plan
Joint Utility
Joint Phone bills
Joint Credit card bills
Spouse as only beneficiary for life insurance, 401K, and stock accounts
Photo albums (wedding and daily)
Greeting Cards from friends for our wedding
Three letters of affidavit from friends who proof or witnessed the wedding
A letter from my academic advisor
Diamond rings receipt and certificate
Phone detailed logs that show the minutes we talk every months
Airplane tickets that show the visits

The office started asking "so you never live together?" We answered yes, but we visit each other as often as possible and we have plane tickets records. She didn't ask those records though, instead she asked us to show some documents that proof we are truly married. We gave her our joint utility, joint phone bills, bank statements, the letter from my advisor ,car title and joint income tax, and we were about to give her our house title and the beneficialy, but she said it was more than enough, and then she looked through those document and approved our case and I should be expecting my green card in a week or two. The whole process is no more than 5 minutes.

So I think as long as you have enough documents, even you are temporarily apart, it would not be a a problem. Wish everyone good luck. Thanks again to the friendly and helpful people in this board.
