Currently I work and live in the U.S.. Canadian PR. I am going to Ottawa for H1-B visa stamp.

The letter from the embassy said I need to provide them the original I-797 form.

However, I contacted my attorney and he told we did not get the original I-797 form. What I have right now is the I-979A, I797B or C forms. The attorney said the I-797A form is ok for the visa stamp. However, according to the letter, either I-797A, or I-797B or I-797C is not acceptable.

Does anyone get the original I-797 form? If so , How could I get a copy of it?
