Appeal for Case 245293

Your Honor,

I was issued a traffic ticket for speeding on January 26, 2021, ticket number is 2452493. The ticket alleges that I was driving over limit in a 25 MPH zone around the intersection of Lee Road and Biltmore Ave.

I am hereby respectfully appealing the ticket for the following reason: 

Please see attached the google map. Glendale Ave is one block ahead of Biltmore Ave.

I was driving on Lee Road from Biltmore Ave in the direction of Glendale Ave. After exiting Interstate 480, the posted speed limit is 35 MPH but changes with the first 25 MPH sign on Lee Road appears AFTER Glendale Avenue, as seen in the photo below.

Before the first speed limit sign after exiting Interstate 480 on Lee Road is the 35 MPH.

The police stopped me shortly after Stockbridge Avenue (see the first photo above) around the center for little angels (3939 LEE RD , CLEVELAND OH 44128), claiming that the speed limit was 25 MPH. Note that where I was stopped is BEFORE Biltmore Avenue and so there is no way I (or anyone) could be aware of the 25 MPH sign posted after Glendale Avenue, more than one block away.

In summary, the police issued me a ticket for speeding over 25 MPH zone while I was still in the 35 MPH zone, well over 1 block BEFORE reaching the posted 25 MPH zone.

上过庭后回来update一下结果。

所以从25MPH方向看， 35MPH zone还没到， 你就是在25MPH zone。
