is in operation, that is the longest bridge in the world cross the sea - 55 km - comprisng three components - bridge, artificial isalnd and under water tunnel.  

It took nine years and $20 billion to complete such a giant project. It is amazing and stunning in human history, reflecting that China has this capacity to build such mega bridge requiring the most advanced technologies and high-tech skills of the construction workers. 

I look forward to driving cross this bridge some day in the near future.
